Compact Nd:YAG amplifier with flat geometry for amplifying of miniature solid state lasers
Description:
The compact Nd:YAG based amplifier module is an innovative solution based on modern tendencies for design and construction of amplifiers with flat geometry, and it is specifically designed for efective amplification of tiny solid state laser sources. The avantgarde design and technical realisation with applying of most novel materials and technologies allow reaching of technical parameters showing a very high degree of applicability and adequacy of the developed prototype for amplifying of tiny solid state laser sources.

Technical Characteristics:
- Compact size: 7 cm х 15 cm х 5 cm
- Pulsed diode-pumping - 4 diodes 50 W each
- Flat geometry (active element size 35 mm х 8 mm x 1.5 mm) in construction allowing effective removal of the generated heat
- Possibility for 5-pass amplification
- Construction supporting the pumping diodes, of thermo-resistant polymer, and allowing effective water cooling
Applications:
- Scaling of the energy of laser sources (with nanosecond or sub-nanosecond pulse duration) and keeping the qualities of the initial beam (quality factor, pulse duration, etc.); possibility for additional scaling of energy through realization of multi-step schemes
- Processing of materials, spectroscopy, ablation of tissues in medicine
- As a part of systems for remote detection of chemicals and pollution
- Scientific research etc.
