Tiny laser source with high energy and short pulses
Description:
The developed microchip laser oscillator with passive Q-modulation is a source of picosecond pulses with high energy and high repetition rate. The realization of this prototype became possible thanks to a fruitful cooperation with a Lithuanian high-tech company.
Technical characteristics:
- Small size
- Output is collinear with the diode pumping
- Pulse duration below 1 ns
- High pulse energy (up to 0.7 mJ) and high repetition rate
- High beam quality
Applications:
- Excellent seed source for amplification schemes
- Pump source for generation of harmonic, optical parametric oscillators and amplifiers
- Systems for testing and measuring
- Optical coherent tomography
- Fluorescent microscopy
- Scientific research
